Thunder Quick Installation

Thunder is a web-based open-source Content Management System setting new standards for publishers’ CMS. It is based on Drupal 8, enabling its users to benefit from the Drupal community's continuous development efforts, as well as specific modules contributed by Hubert Burda Media, other publishers and industry partners – the Thunder Coalition.

This Installation procedure requires Drush .

  1. Download and install Drupal Thunder . Note that if you plan to start your site with a demo content, do not install Thunder Demo module because EM provides its own module for demo content.
  2. From the Envato package unzip the INSTALLATION/, and move the themes, modules, libraries and configuration directory to your Thunder root directory.
  3. Use Drush to enable required modules.

  1. Enable the EM theme
# Note: Check your Drush version (drush --version) and use an appropriate command to enable the theme:

# If you have Drush 8+ run:
drush en -y em_magazine

# If you have Drush 9+ run:
drush theme:enable em_magazine
  1. Set EM as default theme
drush cset -y system.theme default em_magazine
  1. Clear Drupal cache
drush cr
  1. Import the EM configuration
 drush cim -y --partial --source=configuration/thunder_config/
  1. Set /combo/6 as a default front page
drush cset -y page.front /combo/6
  1. Enable the EM default content module. This module will create a few menu items and blocks so you can have an easy kick-start.
drush en -y em_default_content

Install the demo content

To start with a demo content, enable the EM Thunder Demo module:

drush en -y em_thunder_demo
